 The Choir Armonia completes this summer 28 years of successful International Choral Festivals. This Festival does not only enrich the music tradition of our town, but also manages to merge it with the music traditions of other countries, like a cultural bridge among the participants. Choristers from Preveza and other parts of the world will unite their voices once again and will enjoy a musical feast from different eras and cultures. The Prefecture of Preveza and I personally, support unfailingly the institution of the Choral Festival in order to help it go on and continue embellishing the cultural scene of the area. We would like to welcome the visiting choirs in our beautiful and friendly prefecture and thank you for the melodies you will offer us.

 The International Choral Festival of Preveza is a thriving institution with a worldwide prestige and impact on musicians in Greece and abroad for the last 28 years. Furthermore, it is one of the strongest promoters of the rich cultural identity of Epirus. For four days, the town of Preveza will be the best ambassador for Epirus, surpassing its narrow boarders and making a statement by bringing together people, cultures and melodies. The Region of Epirus is an active supporter of this remarkable event which at the same time fills us with a great sense of responsibility to meet the expectations of the cultural organizations and the citizens of the area and together up the standards of success. I feel obliged to congratulate everyone who has contributed to the successful organizing of this year’s International Choral Festival and especially to the board of the Choral Society “Armonia” of Preveza.

 The International Choral Festival is a major cultural event for our town. This momentous celebration and the overall effort of the Choir Armonia, are particularly special and at the same time a worthy ambassador and promoter of Preveza.  With great pleasure I greet the 28th International Choral Festival, its organisers, the participants and the friends of choral music. It is truly great that this Festival, which has been for years a cultural event of the town of Preveza, to find competent people who do their best to organise it. My occupation with the cultural activities of the Municipality of Preveza, give me the right to know the difficulty of the venture taken on by the management and members of the Choir “Armonia”, who disserve congratulations for their work and the successes they have given us. Efforts like this, which aim to promote choral music, develop our intellectual and cultural standards and cultivate the sense of music, are strongly supported by the Municipality of Preveza and believes that after so many years of hard work the Festival has achieved international fame.
Ladies and gentlemen, during these hard times and with the economical crisis leading to a daily crisis of values, culture is the only way we can keep dreaming for us and our children.

 On behalf of the Chamber of Preveza, I would like to greet the opening of the 28th International Choral Festival which is a celebrated institution of our prefecture. We consider it, one of the most important events that take place in our town as a significant cultural and communication tool of approaching and bringing people together and building personal and collaborative relations. At the same time we believe that it is a good opportunity to promote our cultural, historical and natural wealth to the rest of Greece and the world. Our conviction is that the people of Preveza will respond to this 4 day choral celebration and will embrace it once again.
